An exciting opportunity has arisen within Stoke-on-Trent Children and Family Services for motivated individuals with a passion for supporting vulnerable children.
The role of Supervised Contact Officer facilitates
and supports family contact between children in the care of the local authority
and their birth families. Family contact is critical to enabling
children to maintain safe relationships with their birth families, including
parents, siblings and the wider family network. Youwill work as
part of a team within the Children and Families directorate liaising closely
with a range of other professionals including social workers, family support
workers and foster carers as well as working directly with parents and
children.
You will be able to communicate effectively with
children, families and other professionals and be able to work flexibly. If you are passionately committed to
improving the lives of vulnerable families and to supporting children and their
families to build and enjoy positive, safe relationships we would welcome an
