Actual Salary: £12,460 - £13,757
This is an exciting opportunity to join the ‘Front Door’ of our service
– the Children’s Advice & Duty (ChAD) service.
You will take telephone calls from children and their families and
members of the public, and ensure they are provided with appropriate early help
advice. You will work alongside all practitioners in the ChAD
service and will facilitate the flow of communication and data between the CHAD
Service and safeguarding partners in a confidential and timely manner to enable
safe, appropriate and timely decision making for all contacts through the Front
Door. You will also provide any other administrative liaison as
determined by the ChAD Team Manager.
You should have experience of working within a children’s service
environment and have knowledge of Early Help and prevention
cases. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal
skills, with the ability to negotiate and will have experience of liaising with
partner agencies. You will have excellent IT and organisational
skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and have
experience in the effective use of children’s social care case recording
systems.

This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
and the successful applicant will be subject to a criminal record check from
the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
