An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Supporting Families Service, part of the Children and Family Services Directorate. Four posts have been created as part of the recent remodelling of the service to enable more children and families to be supported at the earliest opportunity. As an Advanced Family Support Worker you will be experienced in supporting vulnerable children and families through delivery of evidence based interventions. You will be an experienced practitioner, able to role model best practice and support a team of Family Support Workers to deliver high quality service to families with multiple, complex needs. You will be responsible for supervising a team of front line practitioners based within a defined locality, driving improvements, maintaining quality and upholding practice standards. You will have a passion for improving the lives of vulnerable children and work with tenacity to achieve better outcomes. You will offer high support and high challenge working in a relational, restorative way supporting a team through high quality reflective supervision. You will work closely with the leadership team to identify improvements, quality assure work through effective audit and QA processes using data and analysis to identify strengths and areas for improvement within the team. You will hold a small caseload in order to role model best practice and uphold standards, setting a benchmark for quality service delivery. You will support practitioners to be tenacious in their approach to supporting families, professionally curious and analytical in their thinking. You will promote a culture of integrity, inclusion and respect putting the needs of children first in everything you do. You will continuously look for ways to improve services, demonstrate ownership and accountability and be an advocate for children and for the service. You will oversee the allocation of work and of good quality assessments and plans, offering professional challenge and support throughout. You will contribute to the leadership and management of the service bringing to the team experience, high standards and a commitment to children and families.
