An exciting opportunity has arisen within Stoke-on-Trent Children and Family Services for motivated individuals with a passion for supporting vulnerable children.
The role of Supervised Contact Officer facilitates and supports family contact
between children in the care of the local authority and their birth
families. Family contact is critical to enabling children to
maintain safe relationships with their birth families, including parents,
siblings and the wider family network. You will work as part of a
team within the Children and Families directorate liaising closely with a range
of other professionals including social workers, family support workers and
foster carers as well as working directly with parents and
children.
You will have an understanding of safeguarding procedures and
experience of working directly with people from a range of backgrounds. You

to improving the lives of vulnerable families and to supporting children and
their families to build and enjoy positive, safe relationships we would welcome
an application from you.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children,
young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all our employees and
volunteers to share this commitment.
