Description

Stoke-on-Trent Children’s Services is embarking on an exciting new way of working. We are adopting a restorative, strengths based, relationship approach to working with children, young people and families. This new post has been created within the Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Service to drive forward practice within our child protection conferencing and auditing functions.


You will be responsible for:

- Leading and managing the Child Protection conference service, driving forward good practice and addressing any drift or delay

- Managing the audit function ensuring we have a robust auditing programme which informs us about the quality of our practice and addresses any areas requiring improvement

- Liaising with the Principal Social Worker to ensure learning from audits is embedded in our learning and development programme

- Management of the LADO and ensuring a timely and robust response to the management of allegations against professionals
