Join Our Highways Team and Drive Real Change! Are you ready to take the wheel and lead a dedicated team in maintaining and improving Stoke-on-Trent’s roads?

 

We're looking for adynamic and motivated Driver Chargehand (Ganger) to be at the forefront of our Highways Maintenance Team.

 

As a Driver Chargehand, you will:

 

• Lead and support a team of operatives in delivering high-quality pothole repairs and highway maintenance.

 

• Oversee commercial activities such as road markings and dropped crossings, contributing to revenue generation.

 

•Take responsibility for on-site safety, efficiency, and work quality.

 

• Plan, organise, and execute maintenance and improvement tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

 

• Make a real impact on the city’s infrastructure, contributing to safer, cleaner, and better-connected communities.

 

What We Need from You:

 

• Experience in highways maintenance or a similar field.

 

• Strong leadership and organisational skills.

 

• A proactive approach with a can-do attitude.
