Hours: 37 – Full Time
This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.
The Technical Team Leader in the Telecare and Lifeline service is responsible for managing small team of Technicians to deliver the Telecare service to the people of Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas.
This will involve supervision, support and continuing professional development of the team members.
In additional to management responsibilities, the role includes the hands-on identification, development, testing and implementation of digital solutions to people in the community.
The successful candidate will have a high degree of knowledge of telecare and digital equipment available on the market, and will:
- Identify technologies that could help to meet social care needs
- Purchase and test out technologies in real-world scenarios to identify positives and Negatives
- Liaise with suppliers over any technical issues
- Report to the service manager on what technologies should be used operationally
- Write processes for assessment of/use of the technologies the service issues
- Help to promote the use of technology solutions to professionals and the public
The Technical Team Leader will also assess people in the community (self-funding clients and social care referred clients) to identify what technology will meet their highlighted needs.
This will involve travel around the city, lone working, and a high level of technical ability.
The role will also require IT skills to work on client information systems to develop reports and management information.
