We're looking for a Domestic Abuse Coordinator to lead the coordination of a programmes of work to improve outcomes related to domestic abuse and reduce inequalities across City of Stoke-on-Trent.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Stoke on Trent City Council’s Public Health, Protection and Wellbeing Directorate team, with the post located within the Children, Families and Communities Division.  The role provides an opportunity to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners across the City of Stoke on Trent, to prevent and reduce domestic abuse in our city.

 

What you'll do:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by domestic abuse? Stoke on Trent City Council is looking for a Domestic Abuse Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in coordinating support services, raising awareness, and working with partner agencies to ensure a comprehensive and effective response to domestic abuse within the City.

 

Ideally you will have previous knowledge and expertise in domestic abuse and in leading multi-agency collaborations and partnership environment and stakeholder engagement. The successful postholder will become the strategic lead on domestic abuse for the City of Stoke on Trent Council and will enable the Council to fulfil its duties under the new Domestic Abuse Act 2021.

You will be able to smoothly manage the coordination of domestic abuse or safeguarding-related programmes and extensive knowledge of Domestic Abuse and legislative background.
