Location: Oaklands Nursery School
Contract: Part -Time (24hrs- Term Time +2)
Salary: Grade 9

Are you an organised, proactive, and experienced administrator looking to take the next step in your career? We are an Outstanding nursery school dedicated to giving children the very best start in life — and we are now seeking a talented School Office Manager to lead and manage our busy school office.
About the Role:
As our School Office Manager, you will play a vital role in the smooth and efficient running of the school. You will:
- Develop and oversee systems, procedures and policies that keep the school running smoothly.
- Manage manual and online information systems (including Arbor) and maintain our school website.
- Analyse and produce reports and information to support school leadership.
- Oversee the safe recruitment process, staff records, and induction of new children and staff.
- Prepare, monitor and report on school budgets, liaising with Entrust Finance Services and supporting audits.
- Take responsibility for day-to-day HR and payroll administration. Liaise with the Local Authority and site team on facilities management, health and safety, and compliance.
- Play a key role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children by ensuring our procedures are robust and our environment is safe and welcoming.
About You:
You will be highly organised, adaptable and calm under pressure. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, experience of school systems (ideally Arbor), and a good understanding of financial and HR procedures. Most importantly, you will be committed to creating a warm, professional welcome for our families and visitors and to supporting the school’s ethos and high standards.
