Salary: £4,619.178 - £5,017.785 (under 5 years local government service)
£4,724.504 - £5,132.201 (over 5 years local government service)
Hours: 6.5 hours a week
This post is working term time only.
This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.
The Candidate will contribute to the delivery of the school / SEND Service objectives that set out high expectations and quality outcomes for children and young people, particularly those with SEND.
They will work collaboratively with families, professionals and other agencies to secure inclusion by modelling and sharing good practice as well as delivering an effective and efficient service to designated children and families in the classroom and wider curriculum of the school.
The Practitioner will be expected to contribute to the attainment and achievement of children and young people, particularly those with SEND and sensory impairment so that they are able to become independent learners.
It is essential and expected that the candidate will have recent experience of working with pupils across all of the primary key stages and is familiar with some form of augmentative ways of commu2nicating with those with sensory impairment (British Sign Language etc.)
The individual MUST HAVE recent experience of working with children and young people with hearing impairments and be familiar with working with deaf children but also who is able to communicate with the pupils who use BSL.
