This post is a Fixed-Term for 18 months.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council has been awarded a further £13 million for 2025/26 to continue the investment into the bus network, with four key targets of improving reliability, punctuality, number of passengers carried and customer satisfaction.
To ensure that we can demonstrate the impact of the measures introduced, we are looking to recruit a Monitoring and Evaluation officer, to coordinate, review the before data and organise the collection of new data which you will need evaluating.
The results will need to report to our partners to demonstrate the benefits of improving the bus network with bus priority, increased enforcement of on street restrictions, improving the bus stop area and accessibility for passengers.
We are looking for someone with experience of reviewing data, interpreting and understanding the data in order that the results can be communicated to a variety of audiences confidentially in different formats.
You should have the ability to build relationships with ease across a wide range of people including local authorities, bus companies and similar partners, including the Department for Transport.
This is a fixed term post for 18 months, however if we are successful in receiving further funding, there will be an opportunity to extend it.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, friendly and busy team, who are keen to demonstrate the impact that major funding investment has in our city and on our network.
Please note that if an employee who is currently at risk of redundancy within the organisation applies for this vacancy their application will receive priority. If this happens you will be advised accordingly.
