Are you someone who is ready for a new challenge working on an established learning disability team? Stoke-on-Trent’s Adult Learning Disability and Enhanced Transition Team currently has a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Social Worker.
We are a well-established team who supports adults through a strengths based approach and a range of short term and long term interventions with varying levels of complexity. The team also supports young people in transition with a range of needs including learning disabilities, physical disabilities and autism.
As a Social Worker you will be expected to hold a caseload, undertake assessments, support planning, review and case management to support adults with a learning disability and/or autism ensuring that they, their families/carers and the people important to them are supported to live a fulfilled life.
We are looking for resilient individuals who are passionate about advocating a good quality of life for adults with learning disabilities and their families, with a keen interest in promoting independence and wellbeing. You will approach situations in a creative and pragmatic way, supporting individuals to find solutions, focussing on strengths and options available in the community.

This position is exemptunder the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
