An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Council's response to asylum seekers and refugees arriving in the City.
Managing a budget in excess of £1M you will work with a wide variety of services and agencies both within the Council and outside, including the Home Office, the West Midlands Strategic Migration Partnership, accommodation providers and local statutory, voluntary and community groups, to coordinate the Council's activities to ensure new asylum seeker and refugee communities are supported to integrate in the City to fulfil their potential and help deliver the Council's vision of creating a stronger City we can all be proud of.
As a representative of the Council at regional and national level you should have a good knowledge of the current policy landscape relating to asylum seekers and refugees and be able to respond quickly to build effective partnerships in a rapidly changing environment.
