With a permanent full-time EHO post available in Environmental Protection, we are providing an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference to everyone who lives in, works in and visits Stoke-on-Trent.

 

Also known as ‘The Potteries’, Stoke is a continually growing city, due to celebrate its centenary anniversary in 2025.

 

Situated in the heart of England, we have excellent road connectivity and rail links to surrounding areas, all the advantages of acity centre, yet only being a short distance from open countryside, national parks and many leisure attractions.

 

As a Unitary Authority we have an array of businesses in our area, including major manufacturers and national chains to smaller independent firms and community-based enterprises, so there are ample opportunities to gain a variety of experience and for personal and professional development.

 

We fully support agile working and offer flexible working patterns.

 

Applications are invited from individuals that possess, or are working towards a relevant degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Environmental Health.

 

Evidence of relevant experience and continuous professional development is desirable, but applications are welcomed from newly qualified officers.

 

You will be expected to have effective communication and customer service skills, plus the ability to manage your own time and workload in order to meet targets and deadlines, and preferably you will hold a full driving licence.
