Teacher of Physical Education (Girls) – Maternity cover
Codsall High is a comprehensive school for students in Years 9 to 13 situated in a semi-rural area of Staffordshire near Wolverhampton. It has over a thousand students on roll and almost three hundred in its successful sixth form.
Codsall High is a good school where pupils behave and achieve well (see OFSTED report).
The PE Department is staffed with dedicated teachers. Staff work together, support each other and go the extra mile to support their students. It is a great department to work in. We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational PE Teacher to join our school in May 2025 on a maternity cover basis. This is a fixed-term role from May 2025, with an expected start date of 12th May 2025 (subject to negotiation).
The ability to teach Core PE and either BTEC Sport or GCSE PE is essential. Having experience of classroom teaching of BTEC Sport or GCSE PE would be an advantage.
This post would be suitable for an experienced teacher who is looking to develop their practice in a new school, or an exceptional teacher in the early stages of their career.
Excellent support will be provided within the PE Department and from across the school to help you become a great PE Teacher.
To arrange an informal discussion about the post or to visit the school please contact Miss Williams, the Headteacher’s PA, on dwl@sslp.uk or call 01902 907560.
Completed application forms with a letter of application should also be sent to Mrs Straw at jobs@sslp.uk
The closing date for receipt of applications is Monday 24th March at 9am.
