Fixed Term until 31st August 2025 – adjusted annually based upon pupil EHCP funding allocation
We are excited to be able to advertise for a Special Education Needs Support Assistant to join our dedicated and caring team of staff.
Sandford Hill is a two-form primary school, with extremely well-behaved pupils who are keen to learn, whilst following our ethos of ‘Thoughtfulness, Respect and Hard Work’. We also have incredibly committed staff who are proud to work at our school and enjoy coming to work.
The successful candidate will:
· provide learning activities for individuals and groups of pupils under the professional direction and supervision of a qualified teacher, differentiating and adapting learning programmes to suit the needs of allocated pupils with SEN;
· attend to pupils’ personal needs including toileting, hygiene, dressing and eating, as well as help with social, welfare and health matters;
· supervise individuals and groups of pupils throughout the day, including supervision in the classroom, playground and dining areas;
· be involved in planning, organising and implementing individual development plans for pupils (such as individual educational plans); and
· select and adapt appropriate resources/methods to facilitate agreed learning activities.
