17.5 hours per week

Mon-Fri 08:30 - 12:00

Term time only - including Teacher training days

Start 24th Feb 25 to end of term July 25

 

The Governors of Birches First School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful team. We encourage applications from anyone who has experience of supporting children in EYFS to develop and achieve, can build a good rapport with children and staff and who works well as part of a team. The successful EYFS TA will work with teachers and the school to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make excellent progress.

 

The role is for a 17.5 hours per week working within our EYFS Nursery Class providing learning opportunities and care to our youngest children.

 

Applicants must have a full and approved Level 2, Early Years Qualification to work within our Nursery setting and counted towards ratios.

 

Working hours will be Mon-Fri either every morning. Please contact the school to discuss further and to arrange a visit to come and see our amazing Early years environment.

 

Level 2 Grade 3, Term Time Only

-    Meets EYFS L2 TA standards or equivalent qualification or experience.
-    Has an excellent understanding of how children learn and develop. 
-    Ideally has experience of working in a Nursery.
-    Is able to support the class teacher in meeting the needs of all children.
-    Is able to deliver programs of work for pupils.
-    Has a good working knowledge of the EYFS framework.
-    Have a good understanding of safeguarding.
-    Be professional and act with integrity.
-    Is motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable.
-    Can show initiative and is able to work as part of a team.
-    Has excellent communication skills.
