We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Pastoral Support Officer to supervise and support the learning of KS3 and KS4 pupils in our Short Stay School. Our pupils have complex emotional and academic needs and for a variety of reasons are out of mainstream education. An understanding and knowledge of how children learn is essential as well as the ability to focus clearly on children's needs and a desire to help move learning on. Knowledge of Behaviour Management would be desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. This post is both challenging and rewarding. The successful candidate will find themselves in a very supportive, specialist and professional team.
To apply for this post, please write a letter of application to the Head teacher Mr Lee McCartney and download the application pack below in the “Available Documents” section. Alternatively, an application pack is available from the school office. In the interest of the economy, we will not contact unsuccessful applicants.
