This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.

 

Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire Coroner’s Service investigates the circumstances of all deaths where there is reason to suspect that the cause of death is unknown, is violent or unnatural, or occurred whilst the deceased was in lawful custody.

 

Main Responsibilities: In this key role, you will provide full administrative and case management support to enable the Senior Coroner to fulfil their statutory responsibilities.

 

You will also provide comprehensive initial investigation of deaths, and provide accurate and timely information together with guidance and support to bereaved people.

 

The Ideal Candidate: With proven administrative, IT and communication skills you will have the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and handle complex sensitive information with attention to detail.

 

We don’t expect applicants to have worked in this sector before, but experience is welcomed.

 

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have worked in other bereavement sectors within a support capacity and who can demonstrate the behaviours needed that we can develop into the skills required for this role.
