This post is casual, work in the casual pool is not guaranteed.  We are under no obligation to provide work, likewise, you will be under no obligation to take up the offer of work.  Hours offered will be as and when needed.

 

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team of staff to provide safe and efficient transport for vulnerable users accessing day centre and other facilities.

 

The right candidate needs to have flexibility in their availability, a D1 driving licence with a minimum of three years’ driving experience, preferably with minibuses or vans, and excellent communications skills.

 

Full training and work wear will be provided.

 

The role is to provide cover to drive a council owned adapted vehicle, collecting passengers and transporting them between their home address and places of support such as a day service.

 

The successful candidates will be required to work effectively with coach guides and will be responsible for carrying out daily operation of the passenger tail lift of the vehicle, securing and clamping passengers who are transported in wheelchairs and carrying out daily and periodic vehicle checks and weekly cleaning of the vehicle.
