An exciting opportunity has arisen within the South East Wellbeing Team for a Senior Social Worker.

 

We welcome applicants who are experienced practitioners, who wish to advance their carer and take a step into leadership.

 

As a senior social worker, you will be expected to model the social workrole, promote practice, ethics and robust decision-making using a legal and human rights framework.

 

With a focus on relationship based social work you will be promoting strengths approach to social work.

 

You will have various daily duties managing the desktops, supporting first contact, allocations and using applications such as excel.

 

You will facilitate case discussions, multi-disciplinary meetings including safeguarding meetings. You will give case direction to all staff.

 

Furthermore, deputise for the team manager.

 

Professionally line manage and supervise a number of team members and provide informal supervision and guidance to all team members in matters of social work/statutory practice.

 

You will be confident in safeguarding and the principles ensuring making safeguarding personal is at the centre of our interventions.

 

Providing support and guidance to team members where required to contribute to planning and progress of work with adults.

 

You will model and contribute to the development of best practice in use of power and authority within your sphere of influence.

 

Provide challenge in situations where power is used inappropriately.

 

Model and demonstrate professionalism, ensuring professional social work standards are maintained throughout your area of responsibility.

 

You will develop a specialised area of practice and expertise to support the continued development of staff.

 

You will be required to proactively work and foster links with our internal teams and partners.
